IOGKF newsletter free June edition
Written by Steve Checkley
Monday, 03 August 2009
The IOGKF has been been running a newsletter available via the web for some time. The June edition has been released for free.
It is with great sadness that Shinzato dojo passes on it's condolences to
the family of An'ichi
Miyagi sensei who died today after a lifetime of training in traditional
Okinawa Goju ryu Karate. An'ichi Miyagi sensei inspired many hundreds of
students at international budosai events in Okinawa where he continued to
demonstrate and promote traditional Karate training through his twilight years,
following a lifetime of diligent training. An'ichi Miyagi sensei leaves
behind him the legacy of the IOGKF and the global community of Karate ka that
has grown around himself and his senior student Sensei Morio Higaonna.
Shinzato dojo will continue to strive towards the example set by An'ichi
Miyagi sensei in his tireless dedication to traditional Karate training, and
his patience and wisdom in teaching.
